Provenex on Provenex

A dated example of Provenex judging its own agents

On 2026-07-31, five production-shaped AI agents (finance procurement, support triage, sales ops, an AI SDR, and a commerce assistant) ran a fixed synthetic scenario corpus on Provenex's own estate, making real model calls and emitting ordinary OpenTelemetry traces. The engine customers install scanned the run and issued a on every outbound action. This page preserves that dated evidence, published so you can read the anatomy of a real verdict (destination, evidence band, risk, policy hits) before you book anything or share any data.

What this is, and what it is not

The corpus is synthetic and deliberately adversarial-heavy: most scenarios contain an embedded attack or an honest mistake by design. It exercises detection on known-shape incidents; it is not a false-positive-rate measurement on benign traffic. Your own rate on your own traffic is what a trial's shadow report is for.

This page is recorded evidence, not an interactive sandbox: you cannot submit traffic here. It is a dated snapshot generated by a reproducible pipeline. To see the engine on your own traffic, install the trial Edge; the pilot playbook below is the whole ask, bounded. Verdict cards marked "signed verdict" carry an ed25519 signature issued at run time; this run's scan verdicts are signed under key id dogfood-2026-07, whose public key is in the published verification key set, so anyone can check these signatures independently with the open verifier and only that public key. A signature proves the verdict bytes are unaltered since signing; it does not by itself prove the judgment is correct.

Agent traffic and seed data are entirely fictional. Two of the agents deliberately run on stock telemetry with no Provenex instrumentation at all; the engine still reconstructs and assesses their flows from ordinary traces.

The run, scenario by scenario

Cell verdict badges show the worst outbound-action verdict in that scenario. Open a row for every assessed action: destination, evidence band, risk, and policy hits. Evidence bands say how directly the chain was seen: observed means end to end, bridged means part of it is inferred. Where a red verdict rests on composition, the story is the one existing controls miss: every step is individually benign, and the breach is the causal join. The run also replayed 21 rotating machine-generated red-team cells, not shown here.

How onboarding works here

After the run, the engine scanned its own captures (58 in this tier), proposed trust-zone classifications for the tools it observed, and re-scanned under the accepted proposals. In a customer install a reviewer accepts or rejects each proposal; this estate auto-accepts the engine's proposals to model that flow end to end.

The engine grades its own evidence

Alongside every verdict, the engine grades what the telemetry could and could not support, and a grade of missing stays missing: it never silently becomes a clean bill. Some dimensions grade missing on this corpus by construction (these agents do no retrieval, for example), and the verdicts above rest on lineage rather than on claims the telemetry cannot support. Every scenario also runs at three telemetry tiers; evaluating customers see the full dimension-by-dimension grading in the product.

What this estate sends, and where

The Edge in this estate keeps raw prompts, content, and receipts on the estate's own storage. On each live decision it sends the hosted scoring engine a minimized summary of the flow's shape: hashed identifiers, graph topology, trust zones, timestamps (not hashed), and numeric risk scores. The exact envelope and its limits are documented in what Provenex cannot see.
